Brenda L. Hoss RN, MSN, CS is licensed as a Registered Nurse in the states of Indiana and Michigan in the United States of America. She holds an advanced practice license as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Michigan. She is certified by the ANCC as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CS).
Ms. Hoss received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Evansville in 1976. The University of Cincinnati awarded her Master of Science in Medical-Surgical Nursing (MSN) degree in 1989. Ms. Hoss has worked in operating rooms in nine different midwestern hospitals fulfilling several nursing roles. She has held the positions of scrub nurse, circulating nurse, first assistant, post anesthesia recovery nurse, nurse educator, clinical nurse specialist, and nurse manager. She was formerly a clinical faculty member at the University of Cincinnati teaching Perioperative Nursing. Ms. Hoss is a member of the Association of periOperative Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Holistic Nurses Association, and the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. She is a birthright Friend (Quaker) and has attended Unity Churches during her adult years. Her professional career has been significantly impacted by the work of Florence Nightingale, Martha Rogers, Delores Krieger and Elizabeth Kubler Ross.
